Every year the Design Council of the Denver Art Museum throws a huge party – Design After Dark – to raise money for the various events and education planned for the upcoming year. To get the community involved, local Artists, Designers, and Architects create objects which will be auctioned off to help raise funds. Each year has a different theme to the party, for example last year was SKIN… check out images from last year’s Design After Dark party… and this years theme was LIGHT. What a photographers dream! Look at all the amazing color! All images of the objects and room designs were taken without flash, I simply used a tripod and long exposures. It was very important for the designers and myself to capture the lighting the way they intended.
This year Design After Dark was held at the future site of Dean’s Urban Market in Downtown Denver. Sponsors included Luxe Magazine and Benjamin Moore Paints.

On a beautiful fall day, I had the honor of spending the afternoon with Erin and Brian and their closest family and friends. After doing portraits of the couple at a nearby park, we headed to Three Trees Chapel for a lovely sunset ceremony.
After Mom and Dad cut their cake, Trenton was surprised with his Spongebob Squarepants cake. He really wanted to cut the nose off, but it was Fondant wrapped around a wooded dowel… so he pulled it out. It was quite adorable!
Thank you to all the vendors!
