There is nothing I love more about being a wedding photographer than tasting all the different wedding cakes from vendors around the city. Recently I got to work with Anne and Jeremy from Frills Cake Shop. Not only do they have a very simple, yet elegant sense of style, but their cake is YUMMO! I think my favorite design is towards the end… the white on white. Very stunning!
For the second time now, my trips back to Nebraska have allowed me to photograph shows by Northeast Players under the direction of Adam Peterson. This time Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett was on stage. I love Adam’s production style and staging. I think it’s simplicity is just stunning!
Wedding and Event Florist, Kristi Pohly with Fleur Decor brings bright, modern, and fun to your day with her beautiful designs. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Kristi over the past few months, what a blast!
Kristi started Fleur decor over ten years ago, and prides herself on being a green and eco friendly studio. She uses recycled glassware and composts flower scraps. My favorite… Kristi’s “Make Someone’s Monday” where takes nominations and uses her leftover flowers from the weekend’s events to surprise someone and Make their Monday. How sweet is that?!?

The Denver Art Museum and the City of Denver worked very hard to get the Yves Saint Laurent fashion collection. Somehow, Denver was the only US city to host this impressive piece of history. And somehow, I was asked to photograph opening night…which meant I got to photograph the collection before the public got to view it! How fun! A big thank you to Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine, I am really enjoying being their Event Photographer!
If you have not gone to see Yves Saint Laurent: The Retrospective you’ve really got to make time for it. I went a second time to actually stop and look at the collection, and listen to the commentary. Really great.

Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking! And for many it is the first (and only!!) time they will go through the process. Brittany brought on a great group of vendors inlcuding Fleur Decor, Frills Cake Shop, Blue Bridal, AudreyMichel Photography, Rodan and Fields, and Fluff Bar (providing hair, makeup, and cocktails) to help your planning along.
The Fluff Bridal Experience was different that any Bridal Show or Event. Nestled in the heart of LoDo (downtown Denver) Fluff Bar host top Master Stylists by day, and a chic bar atmosphere at night. The Bridal Experience brought together all the vendors, brides and her crew to hang out for an afternoon, sip signature drinks, taste amazing food, check out the latest in bridal fashion, as well as watch a bridal fashion photoshoot.
